The owner of these luxury Edinburgh apartments has a passion for travel and appreciates how important it is at the end of a long journey, a day's sightseeing or shopping, to have a lovely place to base oneself, and this is what she aims to provide for her guests.
She loves this area of town - just minutes from all the action of the Royal Mile and Princes Street, but in areas that are lovely and quiet. When she saw the location of the flats she loved them! It's an adventure to cut through to the Royal Mile via one of the historic closes – Bakehouse Close or Sugarhouse Close which brings you out at the historic Canongate Church (where Zara Philips was married). There are many hidden gems to discover in these out of the way areas such as Dunbar's Close Gardens. She has spent many happy hours meandering in and out of the lovely small shops that sell cashmere, jewellery and Scottish artefacts, on the way up the Royal Mile – of course stopping for coffee and cake in one of the countless cafes en route.
She has decorated and furnished the flats, in a style that reflects the best of modern Scotland with natural woods, leathers and lots of wools - tweeds and plaids. Lovely rich colours reflecting the best of both modern and traditional Scottish style. Not forgetting the super-comfortable beds and linens in both apartments.
She also has a passion for photography and regularly takes shots of this lovely city and the coastal/country areas near Edinburgh. These can be seen here in our blog and of course hanging in the luxury Edinburgh apartments!
A little piece of India in Edinburgh!
